Warren Eaton

Warren spent his infancy, childhood, and adolescence in a small town in Wyoming, USA. Quite by accident he discovered Stanford University (USA), where he received his BA in psychology, and then, by design, went to the University of Illinois (USA), where he received his graduate degrees in personality and developmental psychology. Apart from summer and student jobs, he has had only had one employer during his adult life, the University of Manitoba, which has been kind enough to allow him to teach developmental psychology since 1976.

During his research career, he has studied gender differences, child temperament and activity level, and, most recently, how infants and children vary in their progress through developmental milestones like sitting, crawling, and walking. For additional information about his teaching and research, visit his academic website.

His four children, wife, brother, friends, students, and many in-laws continue to educate him about life and human development
