Rebecca Coish

Rebecca is currently completing her B. Sc. (Hons) under the supervision of Dr. Warren Eaton. She is most interested in developmental, physiological, and social psychology. Prior to studying at the University of Manitoba, Rebecca lived in Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim, N. Ireland for two years, where she completed her A-levels at Carrickfergus Grammar School.

Rebecca has a strong interest in child health, and she spent last summer doing research through the ACADRE program on hospitalizations rates of youth with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Although she does not enjoy eating re-heated mashed potatoes or doing push-ups, Rebecca enjoys playing traditional fiddle music, stepdancing, clogging, studying French and other languages, drinking iced moccaccinos from the Second Cup, meeting people from many different cultures, and travelling. She hopes to travel to every continent, including Antarctica.

Rebecca plans to pursue a career in social medicine and hopes to divide her time between work in the inner city, northern Canada, and Africa.
