Thinking about thinking is an important childhood accomplishment, and you can help us learn about this skill by answering questions about what your child understands. If you participate, we will ask you some questions about lying because telling a lie requires an understanding of what another person thinks. We will also ask you and your child to watch short video stories of puppets. After watching the video together, you will read some questions to your child about what the puppets thought and record your child’s answers. We will also ask you more general questions about your child and your household.
This study is designed for children between the ages of 2 and 9 years, and should take about 20 minutes of your time. If you can’t finish all at once, you will be able to return later.
