Is there a connection between a how much exposure a baby has to sunlight in the first year and later development? Is the use of sunscreen or wide-brimmed hats at all related to later development?
To begin to answer that question, we need parents from around the world to tell us about their child’s sun experiences and development. For example, we will ask participating parents about how much time their baby was typically in the sun. We will also ask about child milestones like first steps, walking, running and related factors like skin color, nutrition, health, and family circumstances.
If you are the parent of a child between 1 and 3 years of age, please help us by completing our online survey. It has been reviewed for ethical acceptability and approved by our University’s independent ethics board. Your privacy will be respected, and we will not try to sell you anything.
Participation should take less than 15 minutes, but, if necessary, you can leave the survey and return later.
